Ray Smith- NLH Director, Basketball Skills Trainer












Coach Ray Smith is dedicated and passionate about helping youth excel within a
positive learning framework.

He focuses on individual development and growth through the instruction of high
quality basketball.

Credentials:

  • Current Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at the Rochester Institute of
    Technology

  • 3 yr Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at SUNY Oswego

  • 1999-2000 SUNYAC Men’s Basketball conference leader in assists

  • Permanently certified New York State School Counselor


Coach Smith says, "I am very confident that I can help any young person who is
willing to put in the time and effort as well as listen, become a substantially better
basketball player. I am inspiring, creative and skilled in what I do."

Bio:
  • Graduated from Victor High School in 2001.
  • St John Fisher Men's Basketball 2 year letter winner, 2005
  • Graduate Assistant @ Virginia Commonwealth University, 2006
  • Amelia Academy Varsity Boys Basketball Coach 2006 - 2008
  • Victor High School Boys Basketball  Varsity Assistant 2008-2009.
  • RIT Men's Basketball Assistant 2009 - Current.

Coach Scott says, "One of the most rewarding parts of coaching is seeing a player
work hard and improve each season. I enjoy working with individuals in helping
them achieve their basketball goals."
